Default i\'m new to poker and really confused

ok, the facts are simple. yes, there are plenty of forums on this subject, BUT even the simple equations look complicated to me. the problem is this:

i haven't been playing poker for very long and today is the first day i have reaserched the subject. i wish to learn about the odds of getting a particular hand.(on the flop, turn or river)(in relation to the cards i have) i have spent the last 3 hours reading various poker forums and am totally confused. if you do wish to reply, please start with simple examples and please clearly explain the reasons and calculations behind it. thanking you in anticipation.

I don't know what you're asking here. There is no way that this thread will get any useful answers because it doesn't have a useful question. If you want to ask specific questions or participate in existing discussions you'll get a lot more out of this forum than if you basically ask everyone to spoon-feed you knowledge.
