Respected Player
Villain is a guy I respect, nearly always makes the final table and overall has a good grasp of the game. Knows how to build his stack quickly.
4 handed in my local pub MTT. SB:= T400 BB:= T800 HERO: (T8530) BB K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG: Fold BUTTON: Fold VILLAIN: (T15750) SB Raises T800 HERO: CALLS FLOP: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] CHECK: CHECK: I checked here knowing that any kind of a raise would make him fold. TURN: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] CHECK: CHECK: Same thinking again. RIVER: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] HERO: check Villain: ALL IN HERO ???? |

maybe you should find a bet somewhere before the end of this lifetime.

Re: Respected Player
You dug your own hole on this one. I would fold and remember to bet when I have a decent but vulnerable hand. You may have him beaten or he may have a monster and is making it look like a steal in hopes of getting paid. The way this was played you have no information on what he could have or what he might think you have. No need to trap with TP/DK, value bet and win a small pot. You've made this hand much more difficult than it should be by checking 3 times.

Re: Respected Player
Push preflop. Bet the flop. Bet the turn. Call the river.
I assume the villain was SB and you were BB. Therefore, you could not have checked on the river. |
