After he bet on the turn i'd be goin all-in. There is now a possible flush and straight draw on the board. Let your opponents make the difficult decisions.

Who the hell told you to play like that? Bet the flop, bet the turn, check call the river. Never slow play trips. Never. And besides at that level, they'll never believe that you actually bet trips and you might very well get a caller from the guy with "two pair."

That makes much more sense. Check calling the whole way like that felt like pulling teeth. I wanted to jam the damn flop.

I just remember reading a reply from some guy a few days ago to me and saying the standard forum trips line is to check-call the whole way. Hopefully I misunderstood him.

Edit: And I only said c/c the river b/c of the flush and possible striaght. If none of that were up there, I'd bet the river too with trips and an ace kicker and no reason to beleive I was beat.

I believe the post you are referring to was standard line for trips/no kicker out of the big blind - you have trips/top kicker - bet and hope he pays you off with a weaker J
