odds of getting KK vs. AA

does anyone know what the odds are of getting dealt pocket KK vs. AA in a 9 handed game. It seems like I get KK vs. AA at least once a day. This seems pretty unusual. How do you calculate or get that information? thanks

How many hands are you playing per day? This sounds like you're either playing quite a bit, or getting quite unlucky.

The odds of getting KK is 220 to 1. The odds of any individual opponent getting them is the same. So the odds of at least 1 of 8 of your opponents getting AA is at least 27.5 to 1.

So when you get KK, the odds you're up against AA is about 27.5 to 1 against 8 opponents. The odds of the situation occuring (you getting dealt KK and being up against AA) would be about 6050 to 1 if my numbers are right (which they may very well not be).

Yesterday I had a threeway all-in with AA, KK and AK (I had the AA obviously [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] )

Call me jaded, but I think Aces holding up is never obvious.

This actually happened to me last night, but I would say the odds are pretty low.
I had AA vs. KK and it actually held up. Many times my pocket aces don't hold up though.
