Break Even Points for Top Hold Cards
Can anyone tell us how to get or where we can get or what are, the break even points for the top hold cards.
Like when you figure the break even ratio after the flop to compare with the pot odds to help decide if a play is likely to be profitable or not. Are these points likely to correspond to the expected values of the hold cards? Why not? |

Re: Break Even Points for Top Hold Cards
First of all, I'm assuming you are referring to your "Hole" cards.
Second what are you referring to the "top" hole cards. And break even compared to what? Not including implied odds, Q8o is the exact middle of the 169 possible hands heads up. Are you referring to a full table? Then you must include implied odds, in other words 56s can be profitable at a full table even though it will lose more often against other random hands. Hands like that become profitable, because you can make BIG disguised hands. Could you clarify your post? Or maybe I can't get it straight cause I keep thinking hold cards and giggling. |
