Default The college jeopardy tournament

I love watching this.

The guy who just won today to advance to the semifinals was from Carnegie Melon, and he destroyed two kids from Maryland and some other school. Like 30k, 9k, 7k.

He got a daily double on the 2nd to last question and bid five dollars. Then on the last question he bid 1,337 dollars. Awesome.

No. No you shouldn't. You aren't good enough.

I swear like 99% of people who watch jeopardy regularly always say stuff like this and it drives me nuts.

Mmhmm. I doubt I could do well on normal jeopardy. Those questions have been getting tougher over the years, IMO, but college jeopardy has always been easy. Imagine I was 3 years younger (when I was just as smart or possibly smarter), and said I wanted to try out for teen jeopardy because I was still a senior in HS. I destroy teen jeopardy.

Just because you're not good enough...

Is the tough part of Jeopardy the buzzing in part? Or avoiding stage fright, or whatever? Because, while I don't know enough about the show to know if I could make it on College Jeopardy, the questions do seem awfully easy.

when i was in college, some buddies of mine went to The Price Is Right. One guy, Cory, got called up and was one of the 4 (5?) contestants to guess the price on things. He never advanced any farther. Part of the problem is he ended every bid with $xx69.

Oh, and when I was a sophomore (or freshman?? don't remember), a schoolmate of mine won the college tourny (Jeopardy). Impressive for a school of 650.
