two aggressive/suicidal QQ hands..
Both $27+2 Turbo's - deepstacked on Stars
Been swaying too far from center the past few days, having shot out the "+" end of a tiring two-week break-even streak. Reviewing some HH today, i found a few times that i got a little cocky I'm afraid. Are either of these justifiable? _______________________________ #1: 1st stinking hand. I popped it pretty hard from EP, as so many times the first few hands get 6-7 handed. Calling the reraise? Yeah, I think that pretty much sucks. What 20x's a 5x from EP? AA-KK? Can't say what I planned to do on an undercard flop....... But this flop? We're looking at a pot almost equal to the chips I have left. Ace on board making his AA less likely? Only chance to get him to fold KK? (assuming, he'd believe I'd call his monster reraise w/AK-Q). ---Seat #1 is the button Seat 1: dude618 (1500 in chips) Seat 2: painless22 (1500 in chips) Seat 3: ChuckdaMiner (1500 in chips) Seat 4: ~oceanwaves~ (1500 in chips) Seat 5: bluefeet (1500 in chips) Seat 6: BroadwayG (1500 in chips) Seat 7: Bubbalee2 (1500 in chips) Seat 8: segado (1500 in chips) Seat 9: cyounger100 (1500 in chips) painless22: posts small blind 10 ChuckdaMiner: posts big blind 20 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to bluefeet [Qs Qd] ~oceanwaves~: folds bluefeet: raises 80 to 100 BroadwayG: folds Bubbalee2: calls 100 2 folds dude618: raises 300 to 400 2 folds bluefeet: calls 300 Bubbalee2: folds *** FLOP *** [3c 9d Ah] bluefeet: bets 1100 and is all-in results: dude618: folds bluefeet collected 930 from pot bluefeet: doesn't show hand _______________________________ #2: 10x PF??! A little big with his stack for AA/KK I'm thinking. He's very healthy, and should have no problem laying down what looked like a middle-pair. Re: two aggressive/suicidal QQ hands..
#1) I think I would have rather made a decision preflop. It's possible you scared him off KK's with the board and the all-in, but that's hard to say. This hand is tricky for me. If he had KK it's possible you outplayed him, but if he had anything else, you would want to push preflop, in which case I'd say push preflop.
#2) A raise like that doesn't say Aces to me. He either has KK or a range of hands that you beat. With those odds, I think you made the right move. |
