Default $5 multi close to the money

Hello all, this hand was about 20 people before the money.
the Villian has been playing solid poker. I was thinking i'd get a cheap flop and then play from there. What would've been the best way to play this?

Push preflop.

If he has AA/KK...oh well. You're not deep enough to find out that you're beat until it's too late so get it in now.

He will not have AA/KK most of the time, of course, so make him pay to catch his overcard(s) or set rather than giving him a free flop with position on you.

Playing out of position with QQ on these stacks is asking for trouble.

Later,
Che

The best way to play would have definetly been to reraise preflop, probably push.

But lets play it the other way an say u only called his raise preflop.

The K shows and you bet it out, not having shown any strength preflop. He reraises.

You say he has been playing solid. He raised from 2nd position 10 handed, which represents a strong hand from a solid player. This could mean a big pair (AA, KK), AK, KQ, maybe even KJ. All of these hands have u killed. Although many situations would call for a shot at this pot, its not worth the risk.

Re-raise preflop with your QQ and avoid having to give your chips away with no contest post flop.
