$109\'s... Mid pairs and I are having relationship problems
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (6 handed) converter
Hero (t1385) UTG (t1627) MP (t2565) CO (t2363) Button (t1140) SB (t920) Preflop: Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG raises to t275, 5 folds. Final Pot: t425 If there is a part of my game that gives me difficulty, it is playing mid pairs. This is one of the situations that I'm unsure of. I don't really know what else I can do, but something about this feels wrong. |

Re: $109\'s... Mid pairs and I are having relationship problems
In this spot, for all intents and purposes, 88 = somewhere between AQ and AJ type hand closer to AJ.
If you play 88 exactly like you play AJ here, you should be fine. OOP at the $109's without reads coming from UTG raiser, I think I have to lay this down. |

Interesting. Not to hijack the thread too much but as somebody who will soon be moving back to 1000 chip games I wonder how you feel about 99-JJ.
I am thinking that barring a strong read on teh initial raiser I am playing JJ and TT back at him strong and laying down 99. |
