Default Giving this 6-max thing a try..

Shredding through 100 bets in under 2 hours was not exactly how I wanted to start things off. Oh well. My brain is scrambled and I have no idea if I know anything about poker anymore. Is this an easy reverse implied odds situation or am I a weak-tight retard?

5/10 6-max. CO open limps(?), I complete the SB with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], BB checks.

Flop 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
I check with the intention of folding. Yikes, that's completely awful, isn't it?

It is horrendous.

Bet.

Also, raise PF.

Yeah, as I was typing it I realized how truly horrid it was. But I posted it anyway so that I could be shamed publicly in a proper fashion.

Depending on the tightness of the BB I would lean towards raising preflop. Bet this flop for sure.

As usual Metetron has it right. Raise PF, lead the flop.

This post makes me laugh because I was like this when I started 6max.

Betting is good.

this is how 6max makes you feel - but it's actually true: you probably don't know [censored] at this point if you just been beating up 3/6 full. but don't worry because you're about to become a much better player if you stick with it so that's cool.

i was going to say check/folding isn't that bad because alot of turn cards suck but actually not betting is really bad - this is where a huge chunk of your winrate comes from; that is, picking up these small ones. you'll learn to do it with much less hand than mid pair top kicker.

6-max has warped me enough, I actually get excited to have a hand this good, both preflop and on the flop

raise preflop, bet the flop.. do your best to get to showdown

It doesn't always take that long, FYI...
