Default Gemaco cards- did yours come packaged this way?

I just received a setup of the Gemaco Star cards. The cards were not plastic-sealed; instead they had a wrapping of plastic around their center (leaving the ends exposed).

They came in a cardboard box of less-than-stellar quality.

For anyone else who has a deck of these- is this their standard delivery setup? Or could these cards have been rewrapped?

On first blush, they seem just as slippery as new Copags. I'll have to field test them in our game and see how they play, but so far I'd go with Copags instead.

Well, oh smart one, which of these questions did your picture attempt to answer?

1) "The cards were not plastic-sealed; instead they had a wrapping of plastic around their center (leaving the ends exposed)."

2) "They came in a cardboard box of less-than-stellar quality."

3) "For anyone else who has a deck of these- is this their standard delivery setup? Or could these cards have been rewrapped?"

You can get credit for #2, though my box is slightly different (and you can't tell from the picture if it's somewhat flimsy cardboard box, with bent insert with divider bar) and maybe 1/4 credit for #3

That's still a failing grade. If you actually OWN these cards, would you like to try again? If not....
