AKs-I can\'t call this push, can I?
PP $109 1st few hands-no reads
If he were the first limper I would be pretty sure it's AA/KK, but since there was already a limper it makes me wonder. Dealt to chalkee [ Kd Ad ] chinskicomma calls [15]. SloW_RoLLiN2 folds. Royceroller folds. BiZZNuSS_MaN calls [15]. wtw19 calls [15]. slappyu1 folds. chalkee raises [95]. Ckrad folds. pastika folds. GREEK711 folds. chinskicomma calls [80]. BiZZNuSS_MaN is all-In [960] |

Re: AKs-I can\'t call this push, can I?
I've seen this play made with AA/KK (by donks) often enough online that it's certainly a possibility, but I've also seen donks with mid pairs or AQ do the same thing. Pot odds look to be 1.36-1 or so. You can reasonably call. I probably would.

Re: AKs-I can\'t call this push, can I?
It's also a big overbet for AA/KK. Looks more like AK. Don;t know if I would call though.

Re: AKs-I can\'t call this push, can I?
No, you can't call.
It's just silly to put your stack at risk on a situation like this that will never be more than marginally correct. This is AA/KK often enough to make it a fold IMO, and in other cases I see hands like QQ and 44 and AK. Yeah theres a rare AQ in there but most of the time you're in trouble. There are FAR better spots, save your chips. Kings |

I'd fold. Do you want to risk your tournament life on a coin flip or underdog situation here?

Re: AKs-I can\'t call this push, can I?
I'd much more expect to see this kind of move with a hand that you either 50/50 or more likely - AK itself - I usually don't see overbets like that the first round with AA or KK
on the other hand - what would you expect - if he's smart, he'll play you that way (I've been busted a couple times with massive overbets when I just COULDN'T put them on that hand.) but do I wanna risk it first round - not really....let it go and try later - if for no reason then you probably don't have any read on the guy at all - if it's a common tactic with him and you know it from notes/previous experience, then go for it - - kind of a dumb move with any hand in the $109 though unless you want everyone to fold - sometimes this game feels like that battle of wits in the Princess Bride - LOL bottom line - first round, I'm folding it - AA or KK I'm in, but I won't do it with AK the first hands of a $109 tourney. EXCEPTION - Rebuy tourney I call - in a heartbeat...and rebuy if I lose RB |

Fold. Smells like AA or KK to me, even though he over-raised it.

Re: AKs-I can\'t call this push, can I?
Fold...not even a second thought about it. If you are lucky the other guy just has AK...most likely you are a slight dog to an under pair and the chance that he has AA or KK is greater than AQ or something really braindead like AJ or KQ.
