Reviews of Poker mags needed
I've read Cardplayer and All in but there are other mags i've heard of but never read. Anyone have any reviews of these mags:
- Bluff - Deal (could be Dealt) Recent issue has Evelyn Ng on the cover. Any other mags aside from these four (cardplayer, allin, bluff, dealt) worth reading ? |

Re: Reviews of Poker mags needed
I saw "Deal" on the newstands last week. It was wrapped in plastic so I couldn't browse it. It cost $9.95, so forget about buying it.
One that I liked that is no longer in print was "Fifth Street" Here are others that I know about with a brief description for the one's I have personally read. Most of these I picked up free at the WSOP last month. Action - P.O. Box 581045; Elk Grove, CA 95758; 916/691-1984; www.actionmagazine.com Review: Cannot review, never saw a copy of this. All In - 100 Park Ave. #1600; New York, NY 10017; 800/95-ALL-IN; www.allinmagazine.com Review: Pretty good. The articles are somewhat on the "light" side and not too strategy heavy. Assets - 8275 S. Eastern Ave. #247; Las Vegas, NV 89123; 702/241-8888; www.assetsmagazine.com Review: Crap. Bluff - 15600 Roswell Ave. Suite East 250; Atlanta, GA; 404/250-1798; www.bluffmagazine.com Review: Pretty good. I'd rank this about the same as All-In or a little better. The writing seems to be better in general. Card Player - PO Box 8436; Red Oak, IA 51591; 866/LVPOKER; www.cardplayer.com Review: Love Card Player! I've been reading it for 10 years and can remember when they actually had articles on card games other than poker! High Roller - 6825 Shiloh Rd. East #B4; Alpharetta, GA; 678/990-0285; www.highrollerlife.com Review: Not to thrilled with this one. High on gloss, low on content. Seems more like Maxim lite without the girly pix. Poker Player - 3883 West Century Blvd.; Inglewood, CA 90303; 310/674-3365; www.pokerplayernewspaper.com Review: This is a newspaper. It's usually just a few pages, like a college newspaper. But the content is fantastic. Poker Pro - 2151 W. Hillsboro Blvd. #203; Deerfield Beach, FL 33442; 888/565-3777; www.pokerprofs.com Review: Cannot review, never saw this mag. Top Pair - 3454 E. Southern Ave. #104; Mesa, AZ 85204; 800/964-2846; www.toppairmagazine.com Review: Crap. I wouldn't put this magazine at the bottom of my bird's cage. Woman Poker Player - www.womanpokerplayer.com Review: Had a chance to pick up a copy but passed since I am the opposite gender. Hope this helped you. |

Re: Reviews of Poker mags needed
Hi Rob:
Enjoyed your reviews, but there is one you left out. It's the Two Plus Two Internet Magazine and you can access it by going to the top of the left hand column. Feel free to add your opinion. Best wishes, Mason |

Re: Reviews of Poker mags needed
I didn't have much time to write more thorough reviews, but I thought I'd offer some help. They are not really reviews at all, just impressions really. From the examples the OP gave, I assumed he meant paper magazines.
But, I'll definitley check out the 2+2 internet mag. |
