AK + flush draw- what\'s the play
The HH is toast so I'll try to recreate this.
Party 30+3 R+A payout to 50 118 left Reads - A few hands ago villain called my 3x ep raise in the big blind with A6 and checkraise pushed 2pair. blinds 300/600 Hero in utg+1 w/ Ah Kd Hero (t9600) Villain (t11500) Hero raises to 1800 folds to villain who calls 1200 more from the BB flop 10d 7d 2d pot=3900 Villain checks Hero bets 2300 Villain calls 2300 turn 3c pot=8500 Villain checks Hero... bigger flop bet? push turn? take free card? thanks |

I would check behind on the turn, but you could also push.
Your hand is pretty strong on the flop. I would push or make an overbet with the idea of putting the rest in on the turn. Your preflop play was standard, but if a raise was likely, I might play for a limpraise allin. |

I wanted to push the flop but I had too many chips, I think a much bigger flop bet was in order though.

Either that or make an overbet that essentially commits you, but looks less like a semibluff with a flush draw. I wouldn't make a pot sized bet, as that might put you in a difficult situation on the turn. The bet you made was OK. |
