downtown hotels....world series time

I was wondering how hard it is to get a room on the spur of the moment at an inexpensive downtown hotel during world series time? I checked a couple online sites and I can get a deal for the Lady Luck hotel/casino for $305 for 10 nights but I dont know if I want to book for that long just in case I cant stay for some reason, but I also want to know if I do want to stay longer and my reservation is up how easily can I find accomodations downtown? And do they jack up the prices around this time?

you can always check out early...ive never been penalized for checking out of a hotel a few days before my reservations were made for. Just check on it. id take that deal, man 305 for 10 nights?!?! thats at a "good" hotel too.
id take that, and just double check on checking out early.

I think in Las Vagas the hotel CAN'T charge you if you check out early. Hotels fight over guests all the time in LV. Like when a craps player gets hot and wins 20K at a hotel he is not booked at. That hotel will comp him and get his stuff out of the other hotel to keep him gambling where he won the cash. For a 300 rate I wouldn't even check. Maybe there's a loophole booking on the internet or whatever but I doubt it. I'd just book it and stay. You'll probably stay the full time. If not, check out. The whole 10 nights is 2 nights on the strip. Have fun.
