Default Mundane? AA played as pre-flopped set 5/10

I think I may have played one good today.

UTG+1 is total bad lag, enters lots of pots for 2.5xBB and calls a 3bet. MP is weak/tight rock who has doubled through UTG+1 once before. The original plan was obviously to go after UTG+1, but then...

I (cover) limp UTG with AA, UTG+1 (1.5K) makes it 25, one call, MP (2.4K) makes it 125, folded to me who calls, UTG+1 calls.

K45 flush draw that matches one of my aces (375)

I lead for 375, UTG+1 folds, MP calls

9 offsuit (1100)

I bet 700, MP calls

9 threeflush on board (2500)

I push, it's 1200ish to him

fim

ps- also, I was planning on folding to a turn raise. eh?

I dont like this, what do you think they put you on once you limp- call here, especially since MP reraised and is considered to be a weak tight rock??

If this is the case, as in he put you on a PP rather than a Big one, i like it.

I like blasting it big preflop, but I've taken the trickyness out of my game. If you're going to ragdoll it and limp-coldcall, I'd play it slower. Check/call flop, checkraise turn maybe.

you don't. The only thing that gives away the strength of your hand more than coldcalling a raise and re-raise is limp-threebet.

given stack depth i don't think the CC is indicative of a big hand at all.

I agree with you that you look like you could have any pp or AK, I was just referencing an earlier post (by thabadguy). I thought the hand was very well played. The only hand to worry about is KK, and all the money was probably going in anyway if you had taken a different line.

I like bumping it up big if MP plays well, other than his rockishness. By limp-coldcalling and then staying in the hand postflop, you're representing at least AK. If he's good, I think you lose him on the turn if he has AK.

Even if he isn't good, I like checking the flop and seeing what bad player does. When you bet out full pot after limp-coldcalling, you're giving off a lot of strength.
