You got bet into on a draw heavy board. Protect your hand, hope to get 3bet, a myriad of reasons makes raising correct. Also, if your opp does have a good hand the 1 time in 5 when the flush card comes may kill your action (this hand in particular).

I haven't read the results yet but it's pretty clear from your subject that he had quads.

You forgot to raise the flop. You should have lost WAY more money on this one.

hahah.. ironically, I played a hand just like this tonight live... except, I got it right and lost my ass...

Preflop: I got it capped 8 way holding KK in the BB.

Flop: K36 w/2 hearts -- capped 7 way + 1 or 2 SB from the folder.

Turn: J -- 4 way for 3-bets.

River: 3 of hearts -- Hero bets, EP villian raises, other 2 villians calls, Hero 3-bets, EP villain caps it.. other 2 fold.. hero says, "If you have quads, good for you" and calls.

EP turns over 33 for rivered quads.

Hero looses a 54 or so BB pot.

So... if you are going to loose to rivered quads.. don't f'ing slow play it man! Got build up that Sklansky bucks bankroll!

The cards are cruel sometimes, but it's not like you're folding a set of tens in his place, either.
