PLO8, well I gave it to him eventually, anyway
Anybody fold the flop?
I'm thinking now that I should have called the raise and put pressure on him when a safe-looking turn card hits. That turn card was not safe looking. Or maybe it would be better to just call down, not that it would save me much money. $600 PL Omaha Hi/Lo UTG ( $600 ), UTG+1 ( $1480.70 ), OUT ( $0 ), MP1 ( $197.90 ), Hero ( $975.10 ), SB ( $692.45 ), MP2 ( $1203 ), CO ( $259 ), BB ( $575.10 ), OUT ( $600 ) Hero is BUT with 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB posts $3. Re: PLO8, well I gave it to him eventually, anyway
I'd have folded preflop.
once you hit, you are a slightly 55-45 favorite and got your money in. that's the scenario you want, but its high variance. If you think it's likely he has AK once he raises the flop, you could call and jam a non-ace turn. That would probably be more EV positive than getting money in now i suppose. Since he will occasionally incorrectly fold, but he will do that pretty rarely. --Greg |

That turn card was not safe looking. [/ QUOTE ] What turn card looks safe to you? You got your money in as a favorite, don't worry about the rest. |

Re: PLO8, well I gave it to him eventually, anyway
Well, perhaps. But if you make the assumption that he had to have either AK, K3, or KK to make that raise (which is a bit simplifying, I know), then there was 3/11 (~25%) chance that he already had me beat. If you couple that with my mere 55-45 advantage the other 75% of the time, a fold might be better. (My win pct: 55 * .75 + 0 * 0.25 = 41%, which is less than 50%) Of course, there is some chance he's playing some other K, or AA, or just repeatedly misclicking, which might make the call worthwhile. |
