Default Switching Your Name

How often do you change your display name on Party/other sites that offer it, to prevent people from tracking you for long periods of time?

I play on like 12 different websites with 12 different names on all of them. I'm not that concerned.

I didn't think you could change your name once per month...

You very well may not be able to...I've never done it, but I'm starting to think it might be beneficial. Apparently the rest of the world hasn't done it either

I don't see why you would want to change it so often. I don't worry about being tracked. Winning players arn't goign to track another TAG, and if a losing player wants to follow me around, go for it, I'll take more of their money.

But if you're a TAG and you sit down with another TAG, you're privy to that info. Accordingly, he probably won't pay you off and you won't pay him off. If he didn't know you were a TAG, he might react differently.

I just can't think of any way it could be -EV...and I can think of a few ways where it's at least slightly +EV.

Just playing a bit of Devil's Advocate here as I see your point as well. You do not want good players at your tables. People who track things are a lot more likely to be good players. If they use this data to select tables you'd rather have a big sign saying "I'm a Shark" so they will not sit down. That's the up side to not changing your name.
