Default odds question

i just got moved to a new table in a stud tournament. i have played 7 hands and have brought in 7 times, and it's beginning to annoy me. what are the odds of this happening?

Assuming 8 to a table, its 1/(8^7) or 0.00004768% of the time.

Default Hello,High! If there are N players where \"N\" <or=8,then..

the probability of ur hitting the low one time =1/N.
The probility of hitting it 2 times in a row =(1/N)(1/N).
The probability of hitting it "K" times in a row where "K" is any integer=(1/N)**K.

If there were 8 players and u hit the low 7 times in a row,the probability of this happening=(1/8)**7 or (1/8)(1/8)(1/8)(1/8)(1/8)(1/8)(1/8).

If there were 3 players and u hit the low 4 times,the probability of this happening=(1/3)**4 or (1/3)(1/3)(1/3)(1/3 [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]). NOTE: There is a probility section on this forum that addresses any mathematical question. There are some excellent mathematicians on this forum who specialize in resolving probablity questions. One excellent mathematician is Bruce.

While the odds of you bringing it in on the next m hands on an n-handed table are (1/n)^m, the reality is that if you play enough stud, you're going to be the bring-in seven hands in a row at some point. I know I've done it, and I would guess that most of the experienced players here have as well. Not that that's going to make you feel any better about it.
