Default 88 v CC - raised on Kxx flop

This hand doesn't have to much content. However, I'm pretty expecting him to bet the turn and I'll fold. Do I even make this flop call then? Opponent is unknown.

what is your read on your opponent in this hand? usually flops like this are good bluffing flops in heads-up pots. most weak-tight players will fit/fold on boards like this, normally because they dont like calling down with hands such as 88 in this situation against opponents who are capable of raising the cheap street with air.

Now, if your opponent is super passive or rock-hard, then toss away. against normal players I will either check/raise the turn or just call down and expect to be either shown ace high, or 77,55,44

Opponent is unknown . So how about a default line?

with your play on the flop set I would vary between

1) leading into the raiser again and wait for more information. Basically this calls him out if he is indeed bluffing or raising with a weak pair (or in some cases a draw). Remember your opponent missed 66% of all flops, so theres a good chance on the flop your hand is the best.

2) check-raising the turn. The LAG in me want to really put the cold-caller to the test with something like this. in 2/4 you may not get enough folds for it to be a sucessfull weapon but at higher levels it will work.

3) check-call is an option, but it gives us little info on the strength of our opponents hands. plus going to showdown with a hand like 88 will get some of your stronger hands paid off later.

So I should bet/fold the turn? If he calls my turn bet, then do I check/fold the river?

Anyways, I didn't think I'd take a hand that far. I was more on the line of thinking of folding to the flop raise.
