NLH CASH GAME QUESTION FOR ED MILLER.....

Ed....I play in the cardrooms here in Los Angeles virtually every day..... the 200, 300 and even 500 dollar buy in NLH games. My question is this....it has been said many times that reading players in NLH is INVALUABLE. Sklansky has even said that someone with superior reading skills will do MUCH better than a technically better player that does not possess the same reading ability. But how can these really bad players be read so that an informative decision can be made...sometimes for our whole stack? I dont have to tell you how many thousands of different players there are in casinos such as Commerce and the Bike. I dont play with very many of them enough to get a "book" on how they play and what they will and wont do. Last nite I limped from the cutoff with AQ. The flop was seen 5 handed and it came down J J 7. A wild live one fired 25 at the pot and it was folded to me. I KNEW he didnt have a jack and I thought of a nice healthy raise to take the pot away from him. But I then thought if he has only a 7.....even a BAD 7 he will not fold! I can not take a pot away from a man that will not fold...thus I folded. So....what it boils down to is I wonder if I am giving up too much by waiting for them to make a critical mistake when I have top two or a set? Am I not contesting enough pots? How can these awful live players be read? The last thing I want to do is have KQ on the button....the flop come Q 9 5...and try to take a pot away from some idiot that played 95 because it was suited!!! In limit hold em its another story all together. But I dont like putting 200 bucks on the line just to wrestle away a 40 dollar pot from a moron that will not fold. So am I giving up too much? How can I learn to "read" these bad players...that will play any two cards.....all trust my decision that invaribly will put my whole stack at risk? To be honest I simply wait until I have the top two pair or a set...and allow them to lose their whole stack to me then. But those situations dont come along that often. What do you suggest?

I almost forgot.....I do realize that the strategy I am using is very primitive and simple. I know that if I wait long enough they will make a critical mistake. I simply try to flop sets in raised pots and flush draws to the nuts while in positon. Big pairs preflop play themselves. Thats about the extent of my strategy. I am just concerned that I am leaving money on the table by not "mixing it up" enough.

You don't need Ed Miller for this. This type of question is asked here often enough.
Read these forums.
Gain more experience.
Read more books.
It will become clear to you.

I would also like to hear some good responses to this thread. I play the 100nl at a nearby casino and the players just as loose/bad. Last night, a guy sat down, on his first hand, 2 players moved all in before him, and he called his whole stack, on his first hand, with 89o, and was dominated when my buddies rockets flopped a set.

Especially on the weekends, when the atmosphere is more fun than serious poker, players will play every hand they are dealt. unfortunatley, my bankroll is really small right now and i am not able to get into all these hands with these half decent(at best) players. what can i do to get at these players without giving away my chips.
