Slim value bet?
Party 5/10 5-handed. This is like my third hand, and all I have on Villain is that he overplayed top two as PFR on a KJx 2-flush 3-way flop.
UTG limps, I make it 50 from the button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], BB calls, everyone else gets out of the way. Flop J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] with 105 in the pot. BB checks, I bet 85, he calls. Turn Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] with 275 in the pot. BB checks, I bet 200, he calls. River 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] with 675 in the pot. BB checks. We both have about 650 left. |

Re: Slim value bet?
A check is definitely in line here. The straight(K T) got there on fourth street and if he flopped a set he now has a full house or quads.
The only hand calling you here on the river is a weaker Jack or he may even have two pair. I personally would have checked the turn and been prepared to call a reasonable bet on the river. This is not the hand I want to play a big pot with but that is just me. Invest in PlayerView for a better read on your players. |

Re: Slim value bet?
if you bet this river, i call that a stone cold bluff.
if you bet and he called with JT, you got lucky. |
