Quick FPP question on Stars

Lets say I play in a 500 FPP tourny where top 9 get into a 5000 FPP tourny to play this weekend. If I win the seat in this weekend's tourny, can I unregister and get 5000 FPP back or do I have to play? Thanks alot.
