Default JJ vs. Aggro SH

50/100 4 handed vs. player Maxypaxy he has 11.5k I have it covered, Risky Number LAG behind him, I'm in SB with JJ. MaxyPaxy is loose, if I reraise there is a decent chance he calls and then puts me into a tough spot post flop, though maybe it's no such a bad spot since he's a bad player. Sometimes he plays aggro, today he is playing kind of loose and slightly passive so far, but who knows what he'll do if I pop it out of position.

Flop comes 9s 6s 2c, I have no spade although I don't think it makes much of a difference either way, I check MAxy bets $800 into $1150 pot, Risky folds, play and plan? Maxy won't always make a continuation bet here but he will a lot of the time with whatever he raised preflop. He'd been playing a lot of pots preflop though not raising them all, he'd limped a lot before this hand too.

Re-raise PF could obviously be argued for, and I think probably the best here, since you can get it here since you putting a nice squeeze play on them, and can probably end it PF. The fact that he has been playing loose passive this session makes this even more attractive.

Given the call....
I think that a case could definately be made for leading the flop, a lot of bad cards can come out to scare you. Of course, this puts you in a tough spot when he raises you, since it's hard to know if he has a draw or a made hand.

Given the spot that you're in, I think I fire a potish check/raise, and see what happens. There are just too many scare cards that can come on the turn, and I would just want to end it now.

Edited to remove pointless statement.

Against bad players I make it $2500 more and call a push although I'm not too happy about it.

Yeah, I think if he's "bad" enough. I'd decide that JJ is good enough to play a big pot against him and repop preflop.

Yeti from reading your posts I could be wrong but I'd think you'd be able to get away from calling a push, no?

I'd make it ~2400 to go after his raise and I think I'd be able to get away from a push. If he calls and turn blanks that's when it gets ugly. Pot would be 6k, villain would have 8k left...

I feel like whatever line here I take is a leak for me with hands like JJ/QQ against thinking LAGs, because if I lead out I certainly don't like to be raised, and any decent-sized raise comes close to committing him.

Would anybody check the turn here?

Ugh looks like pf rr is the way to go.

I keep playing with the stack sizes, and I come up with two possible lines:
Potting it and being faced with a tough spot if he calls and a jack doesn't come or getting it all in if he reraises the flop or
calling and playing the turn, most likely check raising all in if he obliges.

I think a better line on the flop is to lead and hope to get raised and stick all your chips in. (That's an easy line to take with someone elses money ) This line could get bigger overpairs to fold (looks a lot like a set) or possibly lesser hands to call (lot's of draws out there they may figure you for, especially if they have paired the board cutting down on the ways you could have a set).

I think since you flat called preflop and there is a lag plus a sometimes lag in the pot with you should be trying to get your chips in as soon as possible since there just are not a lot of cards you like seeing on the turn and river, and your hand should be good here a lot.
