Default Re: how to get screen shots?

Windows: Alt-Print Screen to take a screen shot from the active window. PrintScreen to capture the whole screen. The button is on the top right of your keyboard.
This puts the picture on your clipboard.

You then need to paste the picture into your image editing software (usually Paint in accessories) and save it. You can also select the part the part of the screenshot you want to post. Use the selection tool in paint (it's a dotted box), select the area, right click it, click 'copy', this puts it on the clipboard. Then click on 'new' in the file menu, click on edit>paste, and save it.

To post, go to www.imageshack.us, upload the image you've saved, and use the url they give in your post. (click 'Image' below, put the 'direct image link' url where it prompts you)

P.S. You could try the help function in Windows. Type in "screen shot" and you'll find the advice there!

P.P.S. Or you could try a forum search. Or post in computer technical help.

Have a nice day!
