Besides sets and two pair I think he has KJ.

If the SB has tagged you as a decent player he knows you have at least top pair here. having said that his min bet is either him being a complete moron or he is doing it for 3 reasons

1) he has a weak hand, maybe mid pair or a draw, wants to see a cheap showdown.

2) he has a monster and is hoping you raise him again, planning a push on the river after he smooth calls.

3) trying to price his draw. (stupid b/c he is doing it incorrectly)

Im unsure about what he has and i would think he is waiting for the river to make his move. you could smooth call this small bet and see what he does on the river. you may see him bet a real amt with the nut str8. either way you're not ahead of many hands he will be betting with. then again its party, he could be doing this with a mid pair.

There is no indication that you are behind here. Play ala Harrington and bet 1/2 to 3/4 pot.

I see this all the time lately at NL25; it usually means they have a draw or some piece of the board like TPNK or middle pair. Just raise as if they didn't make the bet.

I would be about 90% sure you have the better hand right now. I 2nd the KJ idea..I would bet 1/2-3/4 pot. He might even raise since he caught top pair now. Bet/raise again on the river unless a or 9 comes.

I have no idea, but that's a weak bet... I'm pretty sure you're way ahead here

It turned out that I was way ahead, but only becasue I hit the 2nd pair. I called the minbet, river bricked and opponent minbet again. I called again becasue I didn't want to get hit with a big raise. Opponent shows AK and MHIG.

Without reading any replies, my best guess is that Villian probably has a hand we beat but is drawing live - TQ, JQ, JK, QA. I bump it up on the turn. Make it 3.75.

If you're afraid a monster here you can call and call when a blank falls on the river.
