Vince Burgio Wins THREE Consecutive Events At The Plaza
Sure, they were small fields, but damn, that's not too shabby. (Start with the April 21st event.)

Re: Vince Burgio Wins THREE Consecutive Events At The Plaza
according to pokerpages, the $50k only has a day one and a final table. I guess they are expecting no one to show up. it's too bad they couldn't get some tv coverage (even something syndicated like the ultimate poker challenge) because it would be great to see something like the world series last year with the different games. this would have definately made the fields bigger.

Re: Vince Burgio Wins THREE Consecutive Events At The Plaza
I played with Vince in one of the tourneys he won back in April, I got 4th in the $1500, then played with him sunday, monday, and tuesday(took nasty beat to get 13th in 2k UPC, still pissed) of the UPC. Very nice guy, he had a big stack in teh one he got 8th in, but lost some coinflops at final table to g out 8th. He has an autobiography coming out soon.
Going back out sunday for 2 more UPCs, anyone playing? I'll throw in something funny about the 2k UPC and a little brag post. John Phan sat next to me to start out. We started with 6k in chips, I took about 5500 of them. He then said, "I can't play with these inexperienced players" He wasnt being a dick about it though, he's pretty nice and funny, can't believe he is 31. |
