Default UB?

Sorry to post such a simple question, but why isn't UltimateBet mentioned much on these forums? Ive been playing it for a year but it seems to be lacking popularity here.

other sites are much more profitable so most players here pick a better fish farm like PP

Their bonus terms, support and general rules get worse and worse.

i agree. thier bonus terms are terrible. unlocking the bonus is worthless and probably doesnt even give rakeback. the action on the site is horrible as well for the games i play in (SSNL)

the only reason i play there is because the graphics/interface is my favorite on the net

I signed onto UB for the 40% first time bonus and rakeback. Well I lost most of my money before my rakeback would even kick in, and clearing their bonus is tough at small stakes.

Those SSNL tables are very tough. Not because the players are good, but it's probably the textbook definition of weak-tight. Many people will limp, and if the flop doesn't hit them completely in the face, they fold to any bet. Nobody pays you off, so it's very unprofitable to see lots of cheap flops hoping to get paid off, because you won't. Horrible horrible games. I'm only keeping money in there for the MTTs.

You say many people see the flop then fold to one bet? And this isn't profitable because why?

I used to play UB quite a bit, but there games are getting tighter and tighter excpet for kill games. Pokerstars is actually looser at the limits I play.

I do like their O8b games and tourmanets and SnGs. I wanna try one of the 6-man 3 table games soon.

I played their 2/4 and 3/6 6-max for a while before moving to 5/10 6-max @ PP. The players there were just as bad. The rakeback and bonuses were also nice.
