BEST OUT-OF-THE-BOX ADVICE FOR HOLD\'EM
Seriously,
they say to flex your mind, you should think outside the box. I've found one of the best poker outside-of-the-box games for increasing your poker reading skills. PLUS ITS fun as hell!! lol... Blind man's bluff... Start with an equal number of chips, and have the dealer button rotate too, as is standard with Hold'em. Then, deal out (don't get too complicated... remember you want to try and get a "break" from hold'em) ONE CARD to each player. Then, each player takes the card and "plasters" it to their forehead, with the face of the card facing the other players, of course, not looking at their own card, but being able to see everyone elses. The highest card wins the chips. It is an interesting game, and you sharpen up your reading skills, i think. |

This is also known as "indian poker", and the game pretty much sucks IMO. Its fun to play for like an orbit when you are drunk at a home game, but other than that, there is no redeaming poker qualities.

Re: BEST OUT-OF-THE-BOX ADVICE FOR HOLD\'EM
Ooh, Here's another good one. It's called seven card no-peek. Of course we want to keep it simple so we'll play one card no-peek. Each player starts with the same number of chips and one card (remember, don't make it complicated, we're taking a hold'em break) and plasters that card to the table. Then each player turns up the card. High card wins. It's great fun and improves your mental masturbation skills.
For another fun game, go to the street corner and find a guy with three cards and just keep your eye on the queen... |
