Default He pulled a stop and go on me, what do I do?

This is a party poker 5+1

I think my biggest mistake was not raising all-in pre-flop. At the time, I'd been pretty aggressive with people, I wasn't buying everything and pushing every button, I was pushing just about every small blind with a short stack next to me, but I was being fairly active, and when I showed hands, I showed good hands. The big blind caller in this hand had been playing fairly solid, and showing down good cards and he wasn't really short stacked, so there's no desperation in his play. It just seemed to me with this hand, that he had to have something, but what are your thoughts? Good fold? Stupid weak fold?

This is a 5+1. He didnt pull a stop and go.

Therefor in all likelyhood your facing either a J, a PP similar to yours or a high card 4 flush.

I begrudgingly call due to the size of the pot. I dont disagree with those who say fold however.

I like a call here as well, but as you mentioned I think a push preflop may be the best play. Pushing makes it difficult for the villian in the hand to call, this is also dependant if you had any reads on him prior to this hand. Yet again this is a party $5 sng ... you can't assume anything from anyone at these tables.

Why are you playing PP 5+1s anyway?

I think you should fold and play better preflop from there on out. You should push the hand preflop so it doesn't have to come to calling an all-in. By not pushing all-in, you leave yourself open for a difficult flop decision if he bets a board with J+.

Because after a large downswing I'm rebuilding my bankroll and have just recently broke back over $100. When I have the bankroll to play the 10s, I will be playing them, until I get the that point though, its the 5s for me.

there's nothing wrong with playing the 5+1s. they are not as good a deal as other things, but they are fine for learning with and are definitely beatable if you need to build the bankroll.
