Default aggressive table and card dead, any advice

10+1 Full Tilt SNG

I'm at a very aggressive table. 90% of pots are raised preflop and probably 25% of those are reraised. I am completely card dead (best hand was 10-10, I raised 5X BB got two callers and folded when I as bet into on a Q-J-X board).

Eventually I'm down to 8X BB and push when I'm raised in the BB and find pocket 5's.

How can i avoid having to make these despataration plays when I am card dead? I always seem to get whittled down at aggresive tables waiting for good cards and hoping to catch somebody. Do I just need to pick any two and go with them earlier? Do I try and call and play more pots with mediocre hands, even if the pot has been raised?

Any advice on how I can avoid these situations is appreciated.

Nothing you can do. Don't give into temptation and start to bleed chips. Sometimes the cards don't come. Just play more tables, then take your medicine when the inevitable SNG comes up when you don't get anything to play with. Half the time you're going to double up with that 55 and be in good shape anyway. From the tone of your post, I'm guessing you lost in this particular case though.

Good advice. Thanks Terp. When your cards are that bad it's just frustrating and hard to resist either getting totally LAGgy or just watching your chips blind away.

And yeah, the guy flipped pver KQo and spiked a Q on the turn. It was fitting.

ehhh...if the deck is cold u cant win is that simple( plz ppl dont put stupid examples of ppl folding aces preflop or everyone going all-in). However the times the deck is normal u will win more than others and thats the difference between winning and losing.

PD: u steal and the guy has kings.

The table isnt just aggressive, it's also loose. If you're getting cold cards you have plenty of time to do some data mining. Scrub the hand histories for the calling and pushing ranges of each player, note how they play the blinds and bubble, how they handle, middle pairs, TPTK and draws as well as any difference between their preflop and postflop behavior. Most people are pretty consistent and you'll find ways of stealing from them.
