Calling seems optimal. I assume you'd also call with an ace here, so they can fear a future raise (?).

If the turn is J - raise, fold to a 3-bet?
K or [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] - call

I usually call the flop in order to "disguise" my hand with this player (if i had an A the obvious play is to c/r the turn/river right?). If i get a T+ in the turn then i raise him if not then i call him down unless i improve of course.

I would raise the flop and take a free card on the turn. Then call BBs river-bet if you get a K or J and raise if you hit runner-runner.

i think folding is out of the question, as your hand improves with any K, J, Q, T, 7, or club on the turn

you have 30% equity v a pair < JJ, and the pot is 8sbs, or 2.4 sbs of equity (assuming you geta free card- I don't think the sb mucks this up much by calling cause hs shouldn't hurt your equity much and adds an extra bet or two to the pot) and can play the river proftably, calling with a pair and raising a straight or flush, so you only do bad when he just calls the flop with an A (or catches a set/trips/bd'oor draw) and u pay off his river bet. sometimes he has nothing and u don't get paid off but I think the river is worth like .5-.75 BBs, or 1-1.5 sbs. so like 3.4-3.9 sbs.

But if he has an A and 3-bets you have to fold I think, so unless he (or sb) holds and 3-bets an Ace 1/2 - 2/3rds of the time u should be ok raising and taking your free crad. I assume you bet-fold to a check-raise w/ a pair on the turn so that shouldn't effect things too much. so raise is good if not 3-bet twice as often they call. plus they fold sometimes to the flop raise and that is real good for you, letting you get away with a raise even more often on the flop. but when he has an A and just calls the flop raise you often lose one more BB than you need to so does he have an A a bit more than 1/2 of the time (cause you lose 2 sbs when he 3-bets and like 2.6 sbs (*an estimate) when he smoothcalls the flop and u pay him off). so does have not have an ace like 2.25/3.7 times or like ~60%?

raise. most aces 3-bet so you don't end up making bigger mistakes postflop. plus u may have some folding equity.
