Party 1/2 6-max
Does anyone here play this game regularly? I usually play full ring but am thinking about playing 6-max for a change later today. At lower stakes, the 6-max players were almost always looser and worse than their full-ring counterparts; just wondering if that's still true.

Re: Party 1/2 6-max
At any 6 max table people will be looser by virtue of being 6 max. However it seems like a lot of the people who like to gambooool run there to avoid the slower pace of full ring games. Very profitable if you know what you're doing.

Re: Party 1/2 6-max
definitely looser...you can almost always find a table that has 3 people with vpip over 50....just try to figure out if any of them are tricky on top of being loose.

Note to self-- stop semi-bluffing. These guys call with anything. (small sample size disclaimer, blah blah blah)

Re: Party 1/2 6-max
Well, from about 500 hands of 6-max vs. about 15K of full-ring, full ring is generally very weak-tight and 6-max is LAG-gier and much more aggressive. In full ring, you don't win many big pots with one pair but I saw quite a few in my 6-max stint today that were overpair vs. top pair or TPTK vs. TPGK.

Re: Party 1/2 6-max
I just started playing these tables,
and I'll never go back to full ring. So many bad players, so easy to read, And you can exploit their mistakes so much more often. And its so much more fun, since you get to play more hands. Im close to becoming a maniac myself. |
