Default 6-handed Tables

Does anyone have any suggestions on playing at 6 person tables? I play on the Tribeca Network (doylesroom.com, platinumpoker.com, etc.) and there's a lot of 6 person tables. Currently, I'm playing $0.25-50 limit hold 'em. Should I just play as if the blinds are early position, seats 3 and 4 are middle position, and seats 5 and 6 are late position? Should I play more hands? Do the same general hand selection guidelines apply as a 10-handed game?

I have started playing almost exclusively 6 handed. Don't fall into the trap of loosening up. You should still play very tight pre-flop.

Here are the modifications to your game:

- Try to steal the blinds more, especially with ace high.
- While you are less likely to be up against big hands, you'll still frequently find opponents with straights, flushes, etc. Dont fall into the trap of playing mediocre hands the whole way.
- Your opponents will likely be looser and more aggressive. You may have to trap more.

Well that's all for now..

Here's a very good thread about the subject. I think it's titled "The most informational 6 max game post for newbies" or something like that.
