KK in the small blind vs EP limp-reraise
1-1 NL (Pokerroom), standard TAG table. I have $70 in front of me and good table image. 4 limpers preflop, I make a pot sized raise in the SB with KK to $5 - content to take it down with my poor position ... EP reraises to $10, folds to me - not sure if my kings are good, (reraiser has been on table less than 1 orbit, but not a maniac)... I figure 3 hand possiblities AKs, AA and QQ. I reraise back to 25 to go, if he pushes I'll lay it down, but he -curiously- calls instead. The flop is poor: 4d 5h Ah (My red K is a diamond). I bet out $15, he pushes in (having me covered)... I have $30 left and the pot is ~75... I figure I am a huge dog at this point, the only conceiveable hand I can beat is QQ and if he hasthe sac to move in with an A on that board - more power to him. I muck and sulk for a few minutes. Good laydown?

Re: KK in the small blind vs EP limp-reraise
well, I would have bet more on the flop...that $15 bet was like 1/4 of the pot which begged him to push....i would have just gone ahead and made a pot sized bet which would have put me all in and hoped he didn't have an ace, but didn't believe me either.

[ QUOTE ]
I figure 3 hand possiblities AKs, AA and QQ. [/ QUOTE ] Then I would consider calling the reraise, and playing hard on a safe looking flop. Im worried that your rereraise preflop would make a good player fold QQ/AK. I think I would've played the flop the same way. Ojo_Rojo |
