Default Should I have folded this?

Heres a hand that really bothered me afterwards. I wasnt sure wether to call or not, but there was so much money my two way straight draw just looked to good to let go.


Preflop: Hero with 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

It bothered me because somehow I think I did something wrong... Any suggestions?

I'd have folded on the flop.

3 people like their hand here, so you are very likely tied for low, and have only 8 outs to win high. And those 8 outs are not to the nuts. And if you hit those outs, you still need to dodge the board pairing and flushes, since 6 of the 8 outs you have will put a 2-flush on the board.

Especially since you are not closing the action and are open to a big reraise. If you were closing then i would be more likely to call.
