Re: Poker edge or Poker tracker
PT makes you a better player.
PE shows you who's a bad player. I'd much rather be a better player. |

Re: Poker edge or Poker tracker
The former is cheating IMO, the second only is if you datamine/share databases.

Believe that people shouldn't be allowed to write notes down at a live game either right? You don't use anything to analyze your play? Just look at + or - and forget about the good decisions you made during a bad session or the bad ones that you made from a good session? -Ryan |

Re: Poker edge or Poker tracker
What I am saying is, that I am not against players using pokertracker to improve and track their own play, but once you get into the realms of co-operatives sharing and collating their databases, I think you have crossed the line. Poker Edge comes into the latter category. It is only my opinion, after all.

I think you got them the wrong way round on your original post, which is why some people have questioned it.

Gotcha. Misunderstood your previous post. I'm on the fence with that one. I can't say it's flat wrong, but I won't say it's no problem at all.
If you don't like it you can always employ tactics to avoid this sort of data collection...change your screen name every 6 months. -Ryan |
