Default AQo on the button

in a small stakes limit holdem ring game with AQo on the button what should I do? raise and steal the blinds most of the time or just call and hope to get more value even though I let the BB see the flop for free and the SB see it for cheap. also, if i do just call, i dont know where I'm at after the flop if the BB bets out cuz he could have anything...
any ideas or strategies welcome,
Mario

If it's folded around to you on the button and you have AQ with just the blinds to act...raise. You've got a huge hand against two random hands.
They might think you're stealing and call. Then you continue to "steal" and take their cash. They might have a pocket pair and were thinking of slowplaying it.

You've got a great hand in this spot...but not unbeatable. I don't think you can slowplay it.

raise before the flop and bet/raise after the flop: U got position and need to give them a reason to give you the pot when you don't hit the flop. If they play back after you miss the flop, then you may consider dropping the hand. No middle gear with AQ, especially in limit (let the flaming begin!)

if you're the first person in on the button, do not limp, ever. raise or fold -- AQ is obviously raise. Much of the money you will make in the long run in this situation is from the blinds folding before showdown.

this is a pretty good rule for up to 4-5 positions off the button. good players in some games say all positions.

with no reads I like open limping from UTG or UTG+1 and open raising from all other spots including SB.

even in small stakes limit you should have some reads to assist you, I hate to play hands the same way all the time.

Definitly raise it, and 3 bet if there is a raise in front of you.

AQo is a auto raise from any position(assuming no raises so far).

Raise with any A from the button when you're the first one in. You are a big favorite against any 2 random cards the blinds might have.
