Re: Flopped straight
Why did you only call on the river?

Re: Flopped straight
yah whenever u have 2 cards to a straight like that (aka u are using both of ur hole cards to make a straight, as opposed to using just 1) you are in good shape...
make the highest bet you think he'll call on the river and you may have wanted to push after his reraise on the turn... he probably made a set or even two pair at those limits... if he folds he was bluffing if he calls u almost always have him... the board doesn't pair and you take down a big pot ps. the players suck until the big blind is about $1 in NL games... you are already a step ahead by finding 2+2 |

Re: Flopped straight
yes i think so. Obviously he got a big hand otherwise he wouldnt raise and checkraise. I would take advantage of that and raise again both on the turn on the river. Straigth vs higher straigth like that is very unusual (only happend to me twice), so 99 times of 100 they are sitting two pairs, set, top pair or even a bluff.

I would have re raised the flop and pumped him on the river. [/ QUOTE ] Hero bet the flop, Villain called. No option to reraise. I would've raised the turn to like $2 and jammed river. |

Re: Flopped straight
After the turn raise, he only has $2.90 left, 1.25x pot. All kinds of rivers will kill your action or cost you the pot. Push the turn. If he's at all serious about the hand, he'll come along.
