BB/100 in PL?
Hi you all...
Iīm a limit player that has started to play some PL with very good results in the beginning. My question to you experts in here is what kind of BB/100 is sustainable playing PL and particularly the PL 600 and PL 1000 games in party? thanks... |

Re: BB/100 in PL?
Simple, unspecific answer is slightly to moderately less than NL becuase less super horrible players.

Re: BB/100 in PL?
I would venture a guess that 6-8 BB/100 (PT stat) could be considered very good, with above that being unsustainable except for extremely good players. I would actually like to some numbers from actual pros.

Re: BB/100 in PL?
I would lean more towards 5-6 being upper scale.

I would lean more towards 5-6 being upper scale. [/ QUOTE ] For the $600 and $1000, I would have to concur with this. |

Re: BB/100 in PL?
dont play PL before you play NL, its a harder game
and the games dont seem to be as good, nor as plentiful |

Re: BB/100 in PL?
How come PL is a harder game than NL?
To a fixed limit player I think PL is more familiar to me as it resembles FL more. The biggest difference between Pl and NL to me is that there is more postflop play in PL than NL and therefore you need to be a better postflop player when playing PL. To me that isnīt a disadvantage... |

Re: BB/100 in PL?
im going to just mention a few points, a true treatment of this topic could be a thesis of some considerable length im sure.
1. you cant get your stack in as easily this has a few results, draws are harder to play against because you cant protect your hand, and cant even stave off a turn, also your folding equity when playing draws aggressively is mitigated, just keep spinning this on... 2. the players are better enough said, it doesnt matter if you play well on the flop if youre not playing against the same complete donks youre up against at the NL tables 3. more multiway pots playing overpairs against 3 people for the pot preflop is very tricky, you cant isolate against the weakest player, and this would seem to indicate you really need the goods, or to be able to read multiway weakness very well which would seem on face to be extremely difficult etc? |
