or a somting u can check them off as u see them? [/ QUOTE ] You can always use a pen and paper. Not trying to be smart, but that's what I did at first, but the goal is to learn to memorize the cards. I created an Excel spreadsheet with 12 charts to a page; each chart had 4 columns each--one column would consist of 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], etc., the next 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], and so on. Once exposed cards come out, I would cross the ones out that I'd seen with a pen or highlighter. |

As of now, i don't think anyone in this forum admits to using such software. |

Re: 7cs noob question
I agree with Dandy that it is very important to memorize the cards. What I usually do is take a real quick check to see if anyone's door card is duplicated or if "it's live" on third and I count how many of each suit is out. That's the extent I go to if I am playing the hand on line. I don't have time to write it down. In a casino I used to remember each card but I play more than one game on line and it is too difficult.
I do not recommend using software, if you really want to improve your game. I actually think it might become annoying when you are trying to focus on how to play a hand optimally and especially if you happen to be in two hands at once. I usually play two studs (sit out in one if I have a hand on the other), one holdem NL and one omaha hi-lo. I play the flop games because they take less concentration and also keeps me from getting bored. The ability to memorize is very important and also keeps your mind young and active! Since we are all sitting on our butts playing poker at least one part of our body should be getting some excercise! |
