Default when my bankroll drops, should i play lower stakes?

Suppose my bankroll requirement is 200 times the big bet. For instance, let's say that I play 3-6 limit hold'em. that would be $1200. I move up to 4-8 when my br hits $1600. Am I supposed to move back down to 3-6 if my br drops back down to $1200?

You should keep 300BB bankroll and YES, you should move down if you hit a losing streak IF that bankroll is all you got!

Common wisdom says your BR should be 300bb. I would say if you go on a downswing and lose 100bb of the 300, it might be time to drop down a level and recoup. Also-just because you have the roll, doesn't mean you should be playing in the highest limit your roll allows. You should be playing at the highest limit at which you can beat the game.

The lowest limits that i can play (live) is 3-6. Also, what is the requirement for 3-6-12? 12*300? or 9*300?
