How would you guys play this AJ?
CO doesn't have enough hands to have an accurate read.
Other guy is a fishie. Re: How would you guys play this AJ?
I don't understand the turn bet. I'm check/calling the turn and river.

Re: How would you guys play this AJ?
Since he raises the turn, I doubt he has a busted straight or flush draw.
You may be against TT, AK, AKs, QQ or JJ (I've seen players get this aggro with these hands even though they are clearly beat). AQs is also a possibility. I think check/calling the river here is the best idea. It seems obvious he would go for another raise after all the aggression he has shown thus far. |

Re: How would you guys play this AJ?
Without a read, I'm calling down after the flop 3bet. Depending on what read you get, you might be able to find a fold on the turn.

Re: How would you guys play this AJ?
Eh, he's showed enough aggression on that flop to convince me that he has either AK, AA, or AQ (TT possiblity too).

Re: How would you guys play this AJ?
I think with hands like AJ(s) a lot of your equity edge is dependant upon your either hitting a flush draw or a flop with J as the top card.
The trouble with hands like this when you raise and are re-raised is that you can very easily be dominated, by hands like AK. In fact its the sort of hand that I would prefer to limp with in early position, but raise in late position for value if no one else has raised. I think when CO 3-bet the flop, that was when the danger signals would have suggested that you might be behind in this hand. And when the turn was not a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], I think that your play should have become no more than check/calling to showdown at most, if not folding beforehand. |

Re: How would you guys play this AJ?
Really sucks not having a read, because I hate folding this hand without one. Turn bet isn't great, in fact, since you're probably drawing to 3 jacks (or ~2.5 jacks, since you're up against a set sometimes) you might be able to check/fold the turn.

Re: How would you guys play this AJ?
This was another example as I pointed out to you earlier of going too far with your hands.
When you got threebet on the flop, you have to check/call this down. The bet out on the turn as very bad. |

Re: How would you guys play this AJ?
Here's a situtation where I would bet the turn:
CO is a TAA. He cold-called, not 3-bet your pfr. But not here. After the flop 3-bet I c/c down. |
