Father - Son collusion at home games
Hi, first sorry if any of this is repetative or phrased poorly, but i've been having 8-12 person NLHE tournaments at my house the past year and a half, and one of the players started bringing his dad to play, which is fine, except they act really shady about it now, the father pays for both buyins, they don't play hands against each other, and they've told me stories before about how they signal each other at casino's when they go together. I don't think they're cheating in the home games, but they both have been cashing reguarly the past few weeks, and frankly they aren't very good. Both very arrogant but refuse to try and understand simple things like 'odds' and 'outs'.. One says he doesn't like Sklanksky that much because he's "too mucha bout outs and odds" yet he still believes he could be a winning 30/60 player. But anyway, that part isn't imporant, I was thinking that whatever they're doing (just not playing hands against each other, or actually raising people out of pots), if i know that it's going on i should have some kind of advantage over them. But i don't know how to exploit this, or maybe i can't. I'm not even sure what i'm asking here, but i think i just want to know whats the best way of taking them down.
I realize i havn't given much information, but any help is appreciated. |

Re: Father - Son collusion at home games
Have them host the game at their house one night. Then call the police and report this instance of illegal gambling. Plant some heroin and firearms around where they keep the money. I did this one time to some guy who lived down the street.
Anyways, when the father and son are rotting in jail for the next 5 years, maybe then theyll think twice before boofing your Mom in tandem while you leave for long weekends in AC. Oh wait, that was me. -Matt |

I think you should go back to picking on the 1/2 players

Re: Father - Son collusion at home games
if these guys suck like you say and think sklansky is a moron, then I adamantly submit they are not winning by just not playing against one another, they ARE cheating. You are too trusting. Specially when they have bragged about cheating in a casino. Only other possibility here is a big variance upswing, but i'm casting my vote for cheating.

...and they've told me stories before about how they signal each other at casino's when they go together. [/ QUOTE ] Case closed as far as I'm concerned. If they do it in a casino where there are cameras, security, etc. (i.e. some reasonable chance to be caught), why would they not do it in a home game? The last home game I was at a father and his two sons played. Some of the most hotly contested pots were between the father and one of his sons. Even the fact that one buys in for both and they won't play pots against each other could be considered collusion. |

The tv series 'tilt' wasn't an instructional series.
