Default Improving Agression levels

My name is: Jim Erickson and I used to be a weak tighty

Today I can confess of my sins. I have overcome them finally.

In the past I had a really hard time getting my PFR% over 8.5. No matter what I tried it just wouldn't go up. My Post Flop agression levels were equally weak.

My method of overcoming this was a bit of a surprise. I thought I would throw this out to others that may be in the same boat as I was.

Play 6 max games.

The extra agression that is essential to 6 max games spilled over to my full games with a nice bump to my win levels. I don't suggest this to everyone as the games are so different but for me playing 2 6 max games and 2 full games at the same time has worked for me.

Anyway, just something that helped me. Maybe it will help someone else.

Really? I find I have a lot easier time of it when I sit with the fish who call a lot rather than the fish who bet and raise a lot.

I'd say 6-max has more fish that bet and raise a lot.

I found the same thing happened to me after experimenting with heads-up play. But when I came back to full ring games I was a little too aggressive at first and had to tone it down. For some reason, after HU play, I am less prone to "monsters under the bed syndrome." Before that, I was always worried someone had a better hand. Psychologically, I'm not sure why this removed the phobia but I'm glad.

I'm not sure that these players are fish in 6-max.

They say the worlds worst poker players play 6 max games.

They are most definately positively right.

6-max did the same thing for my aggression. My PFR% jumped from 9% to 12% after playing 6max.
