KQo hand 5/10 Prima
Have been going through PT and found this lovely hand.
I dont remember the specific table conditions but I'll give a quick general read on villain. Villain is UTG and semi-loose pf (30/5) - he is a regular and a winner as far as I can tell. Up til now I havent seen how he might play a big hand UTG but generally he is quite passive post flop unless he is trying to protect his hand. 5/10 Prima - 7 handed Villain limps UTG ($1k), fold, 1 call($400), fold, I call on the button with KQo($850), SB folds, BB checks. Flop Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB open folds, Villain checks, MP checks, I check. Turn J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Villain wakes up and bets $20, MP folds, I call. River K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villain bets $50, I raise to $200, then get re-raised to $500. I call. I can see better ways of playing this now but was wondering if anyone wanted to comment on how they would play it differently? Thanks |

Re: KQo hand 5/10 Prima
I think raising on the turn to 60 is the best option. If you get reraised, dump it as your up against AQ. If he calls and leads on the K river, I'd call and pay to see AQ. If he checs river and you are very weary of the cr, you can check behind. If he check raises you on the river, I'd assume im beat and fold as well. Most of these lines allow you to see the end for less than 500 so I like a raise to 60 on the flop.
