Re: Naples Florida poker
You're a lucky man to be in Naples. I spent two weeks there on vacation last year. I love that town (and Marco Island).
I've never been to those spots. But I played at the Fort Myers dog track last summer. Very soft game. Typical no-fold'em, hold'em mentality among most of the players thanks to the low, low limits. It wasn't unusual nobody to fold preflop. And having four or five players at showdown was pretty common too. |

Re: Naples Florida poker
Okay...I'm embarassed to admit this but I have been to the dog track described above. The main reason was actually to see dog races because I love greyhounds and had never seen a race. The multi-track horse betting as well as the dogs kept my friend and I busy and thankfully I could not get into the rediculous hold'em games. A couple of dozen degenerate, dirt-poor, elderly, stinky old truck-chasing bean eaters battling it out in a crappy room spreading 2-4 is about as appealing as becoming a real estate agent in Naples. I'm sorry...that's the only occupation anyone has in Naples. If you want a thrill, just flip freakin condos all day. How anyone could like Naples, FLA when they could have done to Miami is beyond me. You want a good poker game while you're there? Bring your laptop.
