Re: Omaha High, how do you deal with draws on the flop ?
I dont think you will get much response from this forum for 2 reasons:
1. This is the O/8 forum, so deals with the hi-lo version of the game, try posting it in the other poker forum. 2. Its a pretty stupid question. Who can say draw to a straight without knowing what the board is, how the table is playing etc. I'm no expert but I think I dont when it makes sense to draw to a straight and when a straight will be no good. Draw to the nuts. If a board comes XXY in rank then I'm worried about boats, if a board comes XXY in suits then I'm worried about flushes. If the board comes XYZ rainbow and there is action before you, then you have to think about people with sets/2 pair with decent outs to a boat. There is no general "In X game do not draw to X hand". If you think like that you will not be a winning player. Learn how to read a board, know your position and make judgements based on that. As for learning enough in a day, who knows, but your original question suggests a negative answer. It looks to me like you want to win at poker without putting any effort in, and that is not a good way to go about winning at poker. Learn to play properly and the results will take care of themselves. |
