Default Mid Set against Lead Raiser

Flopped mid-set in a limped pot, no reads on opponent. I'd put it through the converter, but I don't think it supports Full Tilt.

Hand #128941051
Stevo_the_kid posts the small blind of $0.25
STR8_CRZY posts the big blind of $0.50

STR8_CRZY bets $1
Sherman12345 raises to $2
Trips folds
STR8_CRZY calls $1
The river is [Js]
STR8_CRZY bets $1
Sherman12345 calls $1

Results in white:

STR8_CRZY shows a straight, Queen high
Sherman12345 mucks (set of Eights)
STR8_CRZY wins the pot ($11.50) with a straight, Queen high

How's my line? Is the UTG limp too loose? I know the flop and turn play is pretty standard, but was it too weak to call the river down? Any thoughts apprectiated.

You should probably take the time to type it out manually, or at least edit it to make it more reader friendly. I had to read the results to figure out who you were. Not good.

That being said: I think your line is okay. I just call the river too since any T has you beat. I like the raises (I think you raised) on the flop and turn).

Sorry, I tried to edit it to some extent, but apparently not well enough. My 2+2 username is exactly the same as my Full Tilt username, but I guess it's still hard to follow. Maybe I should highlight my actions in red or something.

Anyway, thanks for the advice.

I'n not really sure which player is you so I'll have to peek.

From what I can see you played it well.

You might want to put a little more effort in your posts. I know it sucks when you can't use the converter, so try to summarize.

utg limp with 88 is fine. At 0.25/0.50, if you're game is too tight aggressive for that play to be correct, well I am sure there are alot of better games you could be in.

I would play the flop the same way (protects your hand against gutshots). On the turn your opponent could very well have 2 pairs, or be worried that you raised to get a free card, so a raise is in order.

On the river the pot is too big to fold, and that board is a little too scary to raise. Expect to be shown hands like QT and Q9.
